MISSION

Tibet Elderly Help raises funds to benefit Tibetans who are living in India and Tibet under extremely poor conditions. Our focus is on providing physical, emotional, and spiritual aid to the elderly. With the help of your support, we are able to supply them with food, medicine, medical care, warm clothing, clean water, basic home repairs, and other necessities. On occasion we may also assist orphans, single parents, and others in these communities who need support.

Tibet Elderly Help realizes that aid begins with an understanding of the issues. We work to promote such understanding by sponsoring cultural events and spreading knowledge about the challenges that face Tibetan communities and their elders.

If you wish to learn more about Tibet and its people, please visit our History page. If you wish to make a donation, you can do so here.

Please do not hesitate to make even the smallest contribution. By joining together, we can bring a measure of comfort and dignity to these people in their old age.

VISION

Life is especially hard for elderly Tibetan people living in the remote countryside & the high mountains outside of Darjeeling, India with no one to support them. They need food and health care, but they have very little to no income. They often lack the basic necessities of life, such as clean water and sanitation, to help them stay healthy.

Dr. Bhutti's Vision is to build a Community Center (2009) in the remote countryside, outside of Darjeeling India, that will provide food and health care to the Tibetan Elders. It will also be a setting for social interaction and the establishment of Products & Services that can help grow and sustain the Operational expenses of the Center beyond the 1st year. The Elders will be contributing their time, wisdom and expertise toward a sustaining and worthwhile venture......a model that we hope can scale beyond the initial Community Center.

A Capital Fund has been established for this important undertaking. Donations received will allocate 85% into this Capital Fund for a 2009 or early 2010 Community Center Project.
